U-20 WWC: We will utilise our scoring chances – Falconets assure Nigerians
The Nigeria’s U-20 female football team, the Falconets, have assured Nigerians that they would utilized all scoring chances as they prepare to tackle Spain on Sunday in the ongoing U-20 World Cup.
Monica Iheakam, the Media Officer of the team, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday on telephone that the expectation in the team’s camp was to go the extra mile and win against Spain.
NAN reports that the team had a poor start against Japan, but came back to defeat Canada 3-1 in their second group B game.
NAN reports that Nigeria is currently placed third in the group on goal difference, though sharing same points with Japan.
Meanwhile, Spain is top with six points and Canada with zero point, after two matches.
Iheakam said: “The players had a rest on Thursday to recover from the Canada match.
“The expectation in camp is to go the extra mile and win convincingly against Spain.
