Paul Gascoigne pleads guilty to racial offence ahead of scheduled trial



Former England international Paul Gascoigne has pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated public order offence.
Gascoigne, 49, whose club career included spells at Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio and Rangers,
admitted using “threatening or abusive words or behaviour” during his “An Evening With Gazza” show in Wolverhampton.
Gascoigne, who lives in Dorset, admitted committing the offence on Nov. 30.
He entered the plea ahead of a trial at Dudley Magistrates’ Court, which had been due to begin on Monday.
