Ogbeide’s experience will help us – Sunshine

Premier League club Sunshine Stars have said they decided to retain Solomon Ogbeide as their coach for another season due to his experience.
The former Bayelsa United coach, who returned to the Akure club in March, led Sunshine to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League in the just-concluded season.
Sunshine, who proceeded on a break after the season, said they had decided to emulate league champions Enugu Rangers, who had agreed a new deal with coach Imama Amapakabo, who led them to glory after 32 years.
Spokesman for the club, Wahab Bankole, told our correspondent that Sunshine would aim for
continental berth next season.
“The coach submitted his report on the Premier League season and the management was pleased with his achievements for the season,” Bankole said.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the club, Ola Mafo, has said the outfit will not let any players leave the team to achieve the coach’s dreams for next season.
In statement, Mafo said, “ Even though we could not achieve our aims, the season was not a bad one for us. We hope to build on all the positives ahead of the new season. We decided to retain coach Ogbeide because of his experience and the fact that continuity will help the team achieve success next season.
“Rangers were able to win the league 32 years after because they continued with the same set of players they had the season before. They also ensured that the coaching crew was not tampered with too much. Our coaching crew did well and we are determined to keep our top players to enable us to do well next season.”
